About Us
Peace Region Dance Society has been providing quality dance instruction to the Peace River and surrounding area for almost 20 years. We are a non-profit business, run by a volunteer Board of Directors, as well as a Studio Director. The board consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and three additional directors. We specialize in a variety of dance styles ranging from ballet, jazz, acro, hip-hop, and more. Offering classes to sessional, recreational, and competitive dancers.
At Peace Region Dance Society, we are committed to providing our students with the best dance instruction available. Our highly experienced team includes both senior and junior instructors – our senior instructors offering wisdom and guidance while our junior instructors bring enthusiasm and energy to our classes. With the highest standards of teaching upheld by our faculty, Peace Region Dance Society provides a friendly, safe and professional atmosphere for students of all ages and skill levels. Our aim is to create a place for students to learn proper technique in all offered genres, while also making our studio a fun and welcoming place to be. Our experienced faculty motivate and challenge our students to improve and reach their highest potential. Our classes will help develop a love for art, higher self-esteem, better coordination, strength, and flexibility, as well as self-discipline and other helpful virtues that will positively impact your child for life. The Peace River Dance Festival is an amazing opportunity for dancers of all ages to come together and share their love of dance. Since 2007, Peace Region Dance Society has been organizing and hosting the annual Peace River Dance Festival, which is attended each year by dance studios from throughout the region. Participants get to experience the joy of performing on stage, while gaining feedback from an adjudicator.
Our extensive range of classes cater to all ages, styles and levels of experience, so no matter where your dance journey has taken you, we have something to offer you. Classes are offered in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Pointe Work, and Creative Movement from ages 1.5+.
